This is an unfinished space. This is a work in progress. This is the creative process in motion channeling the collection photoshoot. There is a sense of the ad hoc, the erratic, the backstage, the unchoreographed.
With the release of Adidas Originals blue version season 2022 ss, Adidas Originals invited contemporary craft artist Fanglu Lin and phygital architect Nero He to create an art installation, “Bleu” for the storefront of a3 Adidas store located at HKRI Taikoo Hui Shanghai and Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li Chengdu. The immersive installation combines Lin’s traditional handcrafted tie-dye artwork, techniques adopted from the Bai nationality of China and He’s digitally animated tie-dye recreation aiming to create a physical and digital exchange. The fabrication of the physical installation is designed in constant conversation with digital creation. Studying material sampling to material behavior, He challenges a new understanding of materials and a new form of fabrication working with contemporary technology.
